Only required to have/ show ID when stopped while operating a vehicle. If a cop stops you otherwise, you have no duty to help him/ her in their investigation and your right to remain silent must be verbalized directly.
Actually against the law for them to ask based merely on the presence of a firearm. But there are plenty of circumstances that they could legally ask for ID. Easy to “stretch”…
 
A bit new to the subject, but if people now no longer need to buy carry licenses, how would someone go about confirming that they are selling their firearm to a non-felon? (Other than asking them to go buy a carry license)

You are not required to "confirm" you are not selling to a felon (since that's impossible) just required to not KNOWINGLY sell to one. But to answer your question, simply use an FFL if you want to take extraordinary measures.
