I remember seeing it in its glory in 1956. And the dumb bastards demolished it, cementing Brunswick's legacy as Georgia's "City That Couldn't".
I first lived in Brunswick in 1948, not much has changed. Thankfully, the completion of I-95 years ago means fewer Florida-bound folk are forced through this one-horse backwater.
