Georgia History: One Old Picture at a Time! Post Yours.

I’m a couple years younger, Tony inspired me to become an licensed auctioneer
I’m going to correct myself here now. I went to school with Timmy Reid. Not Tony Reid. I knew of him before he and his wife were murdered late 1980’s. Shocking news for the whole county that they were killed in such a manner. RIP Tony and Cathy

I like the old covered bridges
There is still a covered bridge off hwy 369 before you cross into Cherokee County. The old Pooles Mill covered bridge. They have tried to burn it a couple times but it has stood. There is walking paths and a playground there as well now. Good ole people slide down the rocks in the creek to this day. I’ve swam there several times myself.

I should know where Vevable farm is-was, can’t believe I’m drawing a blank, I lived directly opposite side of 400 from Danny Reid
It was on the corner of Hwy9 and Majors, I lived on the dirt road between Hwy9 and Castleberry Rd, Mr. Reid's farm was across Hwy9 from me.

This makes me to remember another famous and controversial name in Kennesaw, Dent Myers. Although he passed away not so long ago, but he is part of some great history.

Almost bought a Niglet scalp from him back in the 90's. It was only a dolla!

Amazing how clean, productive and safe the Atlanta metro counties were when whites were the majority and the hood rats hadn’t infested the area and turn it into a crime ridden ghetto…….So before you respond about how racist I am just remember that reality trumps your liberal wanna-believe fantasy and I don’t give a **** about being called a racist, bigot, nazi etc…..
