Georgia History: One Old Picture at a Time! Post Yours.

Byrd-Mathews Lumber located in Helen early 1900s. One of the largest lumber yards in Georgia at the time. It was located just before the bridge on Main Street as you travel North on SR 75.

Reminds me of the Shoney's on Victory Drive in Savannah. Driving by one morning, sign by road said "Eat a Big Boy today". By lunch, it was changed to "Try a Big Boy today". By mid-afternoon, it was blank.
This reminds me of the cruise route on Victory. Circle Shoney's drive thru, turn right , go to Skidaway, turn right and circle Tom's, left on Skidaway to Our House, right on Victory to TripleX for root beer shake. Rinse and repeat until girls are found.
