She is trying to save the childrens folks. Those of you in Fulton and Douglas counties need to give her a shout out for her tireless efforts in making public safety her priority.

Democratic Senator Donzella James represents Metropolitan Atlanta’s 35th District of Georgia which includes portions of Fulton and Douglas Counties.

She has the whole hearted support......... of herself on this bill. :)

When I look at this pic I want to make her road march 12 miles with a combat load and a real assault rifle.

Summary, sounds great but means nothing. The commerce clause does not mean what most people think it means and history has shown that the courts would strike down such laws. It is a nice symbolic gesture (as long as you don't mind spending tax-payer money on symbolic, but meaningless, legislation).

I'm not so sure the "Gun Free School Zone" act of 1990 was ruled unconstitutional when challenged 1995, so it was re-written and then accepted as constitional but it really seems to be an overreaching use of the commerce clause. Orignal act:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun-Free_School_Zones_Act_of_1990

Look at the re-wording: ? I have spent over an hour hunting for the revision, I found it fairly quickly a month ago but now it seems to be scrubbed of the internet? Can anyone else link or post the ammended version (1995 or 1996) of the GFSZ act of 1990. This is odd?
