I checked with the VA State Police. GA CWL is good to go in VA as of 07/01/2016.

VA is a pistol permit only state. Other weapons not allowed. Check where you cannot carry, it is different than GA.

According to Jerry Henry, Exec. Director of GCO...........Georgia is not currently recognizing a Virginia Carry License because they are not recognizing anyone under the age of 21 with a GWCL. Remember, in GA a 18 year old can get a GWCL if they have been in the military. Virginia will not recognize that, so GA is not returning reciprocity at this time with Virginia.

GA AG Sam Olens is in talks with Virginia, but nothing has been agreed to.
