I think you have a late production 1936 DLV Dagger, with the wood handle and paint. The earlier 1934 had blue leather handle. The sheath would have been either blue leather or paint covering.
 
This Dagger has a very interesting history, as it was presented to flyers were that posed as civilian aviators flying in a Sport club, because of the WW1 Treaty would not allow Germany to have a Air Force. Hilter used this LuftSport Club, to hide the fact that these flyers were actually training for the German Air Force of the future. They probably flew in the Spanish Revolution (Frano) War as Condors, and received their experience prior to WW2. The LuftSport Club had Gliders, motor operated planes, and Ballonist. This may confirm your balloon hallmark, on the blade. The Dagger was received as a award. I hope this explains the background and the helps sell of your Dagger.
 
Thank you sir for the information. I do wish it could go to someone who appreciates WWII memorabilia as I have no interest in it.
It is a very rare piece from what I've been told.
