Glad I had my carry with me today

that's the dangers of riding a motorcycle, some folks just don't show motorcycle riders as much respect or tolerance as they do car or trucks (i blame it on a big vehicle can push little vehicle attitude).
hopefully that doesn't happen to you often

Despite the heat this is my favorite time of year. With school being out, traffic, altough heavy, still moves right along in my area. My 9 miles commute takes only 15-20 minutes during the summer compared to the 35-45 when school is in. People are in such a hurry and if they would stop and think how much time they actually save by swerving in and out of traffic and pushing those red lights... they wouldnt see it as worth it.

I always laugh at those who swerve in and out and then just a mile or two down the road they are behind you again.

there is always somebody wanting to go faster behind you, i know going to ohio if I'm going 85+ mph i still get many people swerving around me and going faster

Yea driving had become a push culture..And its only going to get worse...Its a full blown gas or brake society and very few know what cruising is anymore.
I look forward to the day when it becomes like the Jetson and cars are traffic controlled..Ant collonies have more common sense than humans

On the flip side, there's always the REAL slow-ass to deal with too. I was passing through Hogansville the other day and got stuck behind a pickup doing 14 miles an hour. How do I know it was 14 exactly? Because they have one of those speed monitor signs up that tells you your speed as you approach it. So from 3 cars back, all scraping chrome off each other I can see the BIG NUMBER 14. And the ancient, shouldn't be driving idiot doing it could see it too if he wasn't too damn blind to. Ad lovely Hogansville is allergic to passing zones so it's follow this moron all the way to the interstate. So, talk all ya want about people who get road rage but that crap is ridiculous.

I think I have got behind that same guy before in Hogansville.

And bikers aren't innocent either. I am forever seeing a group of bikes riding together. When they come to a stop sign, they all stop and go as one group. There were 8 bikes pulled up to a 4 way stop last weekend, all 8 stopped, then all 8 went through as 1. So there are a$$hole drivers everywhere.

I dont normally have problems with people behind me in cages. As your slowing as stated in the original post if you swerve hard one way then the other the cage behind you alwys slows up more to give me room. They dony know I am actually in complete control but to them it looks as though I gonna drop the Motorcycle and they back up as they dont want to hit me when it happens. I get some strange looks when they finally pass me but I just smile and laugh to myself. It works as speed as well just some swerving in your lane will back a tailgator up almost everytime.
Cant believe I sharing this on a open forum might not work now. Lol

A couple months ago I was behind this guy all the way to my GF's house, about a 15 minute ride and 4 turns. We stopped at a red light not far from her house when he gets out and starts saying something. So I half opened my door and asked him what he was saying. He said "are you following me?" I said "Yes" and he asked me "why"? I replied "because we're going the same way. Would you like for me to get out front and you can follow me for a while?" He got back in his truck and went on. He didn't know what to say. I have no idea what his problem was. I can't stand a-holes on the road.
