Well I bought a Glenfield mode A 308 formally known as a Gen 1 ruger American. Done some load development and was completely blown away with this little rifle. First off I loaded up some 125 gr Nosler Accubonds with a near max load of varget 5 shot group was about 3/4 inch at 100 yards. Then I had some speed 150 and hornady 150 i loaded with 3031 and couldn't believe the gun just cut holes. Im still thinking this is a fluke. So went out today and shot 3 of each. At 100 yards dodging the rain, let the barrel cool in between 3 shots. All I could see from the scope was a nickel size hole about 1 inch high of my dime size dot. 125 and the 150s are hitting same spot..... im just shocked 😲. Never had a gun shoot this good. Im not the greatest shooter either. For me this is unreal.. just had to share.....

Glad to see the Glenfield line back and performing that good. Before the internet people relied more on their experiences with a product or company than what others thought. Sure there were magazines like Guns & Ammo with product opinion pieces, but we knew a lot of the “reviews” were biased because of manufacturers pressure and writers personal preferences. Today it seems that a lot of hunters won’t go into the woods unless the rifle costs as much as their truck and it could win gold at Camp Perry.
