Track records speak for themselves, so Taurus made a gun that actually works. That does not mean I am uneducated. I just know for a fact, that other gun manufacturers reputations for making a better product are unparralled compared to Taurus. You bet your life on a Taurus G2 if you like, I will spend my money on a better weapon with a longstanding reputation for reliability.
My main carry gun is a Glock 43x. But I have a G2 and have owned several and they are great guns. You are uneducated in this gun, clearly.
Let’s be honest, how many of us are gonna actually have to shoot someone in self defense? Of the thousand or so members here, how many? 1? Maybe?
The odds are strongly against it. The G2 has a very good track record, for years now, whatever prejudices you have from older Taurus guns, isn’t warranted here. I have several Taurus wheelguns and have for years. No issues. My friend growing up, had a Taurus .357 and a PT92. No issues and he still shoots them today, 30 years later.
They have had some lemons. The G2 isn’t on of them. Lots of people trust them, for good reason.
A lot of carry guns will see occasional range trips for practice. Most of us are realistic enough to know that our carry gun won’t need to see a 20k round torture test or some Red Dawn scenario... the G2 is more than up to the task.
