Previous posters have it right. Customer Service. Spend Time with your customers and dont try to sell them something and rush them out the door. I do business with some local places that have higher prices but have the best service around. One of the larger local business has better prices but their service is spotty at best and I try not to spend a dime with them. Word of mouth will be your best advertisement. You may want to take in some guns on consignment also.

Just so you know we already offer free transfers stop in some time :thumb:

I have been in once , only problem was it was during this big craze and ya didnt really have any stock at the time . Nothing bad about the store cause nobody had much at the time . i do see stuff ya post and do plan to stop in sometime when i am back dow that way . Also good to know that you offer the free transfers . that is always a plus in my eyes . Treat customers like you would want to be treated and they will bring their money to you when it comes time to spend

I'm in.

A small shop can have a BIG online presence. Real time inventory and pricing. I'll drive out off my way if I can browse online and then go pick up what I want, it pay for shipping.

Ive been on the other side of the counter and to be honest the main reason I got my FFL was due to a local shop here treating a customer that wasn't very firearm savvy horrible. I know that I'm not able to keep the inventory of larger shops but ill do anything I can to make you happy with your purchase :thumb:

thanks for the feedback guys please keep it coming :thumb:

Depending on avail. Capital I'd say online selling. Maybe "flipping" omg!!!. But seriously if your going to do business in a lawn mower shop I'd say offer some sort of referral fee to customers who send or bring in another. Word of mouth can damn near kill business. I'd also recommend contacting classic city firearms in Athens. He runs it out of his house and does fairly well based on all reviews in this area. I know several folks who would rather buy from him than go to franklins. Because they are complete douchebags. Good luck with business.

Flipping is definitely a option that alot of dealers have recently chosen but thats not my business plan. i would rather sale you 10 guns at a great rather than making a killing off of a one? I do sale on gunbroker from time to time for online sales but I enjoy the meeting and chatting a lot more than I do the money :thumb:

Get your Google Places and Maps all correct and live as seen through Google. Get a mobile version of your website along with a good website. Do not pay the big bucks, either have a staff member take care of it or hire a college kid for a couple hours.

I passed your place on Monday and did not realize you were closed. Looking forward to stopping in during normal hours!
