I'm still praying and trying to think of a way to help. Just don't give up and try to stay positive. God has a plan and most of the time we don't understand it, but I assure you there is a plan.

Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes, and it is the wife that's needing the surgery. Just believe(have to), that everything's going to be alright. If I've missed any "thank you's", please forgive me, my head is screwed on backwards right now, but doesn't mean I'll forget anyone. My ODT family is about the only sounding board I've had in this, and for that, I thank you ALL!!!

I do agree that God can heal anyone at anytime, just wish he'd send me bags of money to pay all these bills with. I think it was sniper22 that said the doctor bills for cancer are devastating and we're just getting started. He isn't wrong or even exaggerating, and its very heart wrenching to think we're probably going to have to sell our home to pay for all of it. That's a price I will pay to keep her safe and healthy. I stated before that I've never had state or federal assistance and there's a good reason, we were told to sell my car, sell the house, get a section8 apartment, and DFCS would help us out. AFTER they calculate how much the house and car brought, but could be up to 24 months before we would qualify. Seriously? Its just over an acker of land with a 36 year old double wide. It may come to that, but don't see getting a lot of money for it or a 9 year old Monte Carlo. Sorry folks, just needed to vent a little, I'll be fine in a bit. Hope everyone has a great weekend and a marvelous Turkey Day.
Let me tell you whats REALLY disheartening, I was at Kroger a little bit ago. I was standing in line counting my money to make sure I had enough to pay for the potato's and a bottle of cooking oil. There was a guy in front of me, Iranian, Iraqui, Pakistany, or some other third world country, when I noticed he can barely speak English, and was paying for milk and cereal with WIC vouchers, and paying for a whole ribeye with an EBT card. Then he pulls out his wallet to pay for the beer he was buying and man-o-man, he had so many 100.00 bills in his wallet, they were falling out. Really? Tax paying, home owning registered voters can't get help, but he can? Will someone PLEASE tell me "what the hell is going on"? I know I rant and rave at times, but I just don't understand it. WOW!!!
You are so right to be furious sir. Our government (Democrats and Republicans alike) have sold us average, hard-working/home owning Americans down the river. They are taking our tax money and giving it to the class of people who rent, don't work and never have. Actually, they want to force you into selling everything and going into government housing and joining the EBT fraternity. Then they have a new voter, forever.
Maybe you should take your wife to Grady for surgery. Act like you speak no English and provide no ID. They have to treat her.

That's the bad part, I worked and saved to get this place paid for. I know it isn't a 100k+ home, but its been our home for about a dozen years. Guess I'll never understand how we(the US), can send hundreds of millions of dollars to help other country's, when we have children and the elderly right here that could use a hot meal, or a shower and a fresh change of clothes. Now this utterly stupid president says we should take in 10,000 refugee's from Syria. Really? There's a reason I didn't vote for him, other than him being a democrat, You can't fix stupid!!! God Bless the USA.
