The barrel extension on an AR is on the chamber end of the barrel. The m4 designation refers to the way the chambering slots are machined in.

there is an option to add the bolt/CH during checkout on the PSA upper. it keeps the shipping the same and they make some good stuff. I believe it is $125 for the pair and itll come all at once.
