Good! We ARE fixing some court martial data!

Zero issue with killing the enemy and ensuring they get no virgins! This war would have been over long ago if the rules of engagement were simply to seek out the enemy where ever they may hide whether in a mosque or in a hole and terminate with extreme prejudice.
Amen!

And afterwards make sure that enemy dead are buried 100% contrary to their belief. If they believe that there will not be 70 goats for them, maybe they will be less inclined to take arms against us.

In that 'culture' (if you can even call it that, the 'cult' part of the word applies only IMHO), the only thing these brutes understand is power. Raw, unrestrained, beautiful power. I think every soldier should be issued a tin of rancid lard so that they could fill the mouths of these animals after (or before) they're waxed.

just put out a statement that some "bad guy" in America tainted all of the armed forces bullets with hogs blood. denounce his actions, and say that there is no way to recall all of the ammo, and that it has been that way since desert storm. then see if they still want to fight...

If people knew what a deployment in Helmand is like, and how many guys we loose every time we go stomping around in RC south, or the civilian casualty count from IEDs, the abused children, the decapitated bodies, the raped women......then maybe they'd understand, why a soldier or marine, after a terrifying, exhausting, violent battle with the perpertraitors might feel the need to give them a little extra "what for".
Thanks for what you guys do. Nobody should judge you without at least considering the hardships you endure.

as a 1SG in RC south from 09-10 I told my guys 3 things:

1: Make sure you make it home

2: Do what ever it takes to accomplish #1

3: DONT GET ME ON CNN!!

I respect the Marines Actions, but Videotaping and letting it get out was just PLAIN STUPID. especially after Abu Ghraib

Oh man I'm sure you and I both know of helmet cam videos that have never been seen by eyes other than ours. It's professional. it's our life experience, we may record it however we see fit, it is stupid, dangerous, and unprofessional to leak your personal, extraordinary documentation...much more so if someone who is ignorant to your situation uses that volunteered information to bring discredit and dishonor to the service, whether perceived or true. Soldiers are taught and counseled on how to handle media and social media. The leak should be punished if in fact they were sharing it, the political push to demonized the act on the ground and the soldiers character for such was just that...politics.

Pretty sure the NCO got hammered the worst and the private (smh) was the one who filmed and leaked. Joes always be sharing ****

+1 They only respect the stick. Truer words haven't been spoken today.
