The Goodwood Festival of Speed is this weekend, always interesting cars and racing to be seen both ancient and modern.

Cool morning. I just watched a mixed group of race cars complete the Hillclimb event. The cars included Lemans Porsches fom the 1970s to current, Audi R10, Mazda 787 and RX7 rotaries, one Nascar machine and the Rat Trap drag car from 1968.

I remember that Rat Trap altered...... would've been cool if they had Pure Hell too !!

Motorcycles just made the hillclimb, lots of historic two and four stroke race bikes, a helicopter turbine powered bike, and a few drag bikes. The spectrum of machinery is astounding. Formula 1 cars are running the hill now.

The Nascar machines are running the hillclimb course. Bobby Labonte just put his car into the haybales.

The event host, Lord March, just made a run up the hill in Richard Petty's Plymouth Superbird.

Valentino Rossi just made an appearance and a run up the hill - 24 hours after his MotoGP win in Assen, Holland.
