Picked up a Mossberg 100 ATR chambered in .308 for those longer shots.. (usually use a 30-30)

Any recommendations on a good deer round?

"Federal premium 165 grain trophy copper"
Stuff shoots great out of my 700, never had one run more than about 40 yards with that stuff. I would try several different rounds though to see what groups best out of your gun if you can. Hornandy 165 grain SST is another one ive had good luck with.

Thx, I picked up a couple if boxes of 150 gr to zero it in. May grab some 165 gr to see how it shoots them.
