Got lucky this morning at Clyde Armory

I was a little concerned that the other fellow to my right was gonna try to scoot in ahead of us and I was formulating my blockade plan!

But in the end I'm glad we both got what we were after!

I was the first person in line before they opened because at 10 minutes to close last night they still had two Colt LE6920s. When I walked in though they also had a 6720 which I preferred so I grabbed that at what I guess is actual suggested retail price.

Anyway, the real story here is that they had .223 ammo at what I thought was a reasonable price. 1K round case of Renegade for $499. or a 1K round case of Federal AE for $519.00. I snagged a case of the Federal. Not too bad for these times I thought.

They're pretty classy guys there IMO.

Never heard of renegade, but federal AE should sell for around 350 per 1000 at normal prices.

Which I deserved, for failing to stock up back when it was cheaper.

But that was back in February I believe, and at the time it wasn't the worst deal around. Heck, the worst deal around was not finding any at all. Don't know what the market is right now.
