Well I have been jonesin for a wheel gun,you know the old school cowboy gatta have revolver. Well tonight i pulled the trigger (pun intended) Had a deal on a Colt 1911 worked out so I headed up to Bargain Barn to see if they had something I just couldn't live without. After a few minuets pacing the floor and looking at the guns on display the young man behind the counter asked what I was looking for. I took the plunge and asked about a cowboy action revolver. He was very polite and really knew his revolvers too. He explained the different actions, lock up,trigger etc. After I had looked at all the ones I "thought" I wanted he chuckeled and showed me my new sweet heart. A Heritage Rough Rider in .357. This is everything I have wanted in a wheel gun and then some. The action is so smooth and the trigger is nothing short of awesome. I have always liked the .357 caliber and can't wait to shoot this thing tommorrow. I may have found a new addiciton, God help me, this thing is amazing and the price, are you kidding me? Waht say you fellow wheel gunners?

Yeah me either till now. Dude the trigger on this thing is sick, just frickin sick i tell ya. If I had a 1911 that felt this sweet I would need a towel or two. I am asking myself. What the hell were you thinking? You'll see. I will post pics pf the pony on the proper thread.

That is a nice looking piece there. Love the case coloring on the frame! With full house .357 rounds, I bet it is just a bit stout! Good pickup, congrats on the find.

Fine lookin' revolver right there!! It should be great with any .357 load and .38 will feel almost like a .22!!! Lots of fun ahead for you...Congrats!

It's not all 1911's got to mix it up with some wheels :)
I am fguring that out Frog and I must say. I am very happy with the new obsession. Last time I handeled a wheel gun was in the 70's my stepfathers 1970 Python stainless .357. One of these days it will be mine but I am not in a hurry for that day. Till then, I am in love with this new toy. The action is amazingly smooth, everything about this gun is smooth perfection, I love it. Oh and I got a new 1911 too.
