I visited Kennesaw's new Governor's Gun Club this morning for the first time and i'm very impressed.

The first thing that struck me was how helpful and upbeat the people are...every person i met was so nice. The facility is a very impressive venue across 3 floors and very nicely laid out. Something for everyone:
-32 indoor pistol and rifle ranges
-I saw three 100-yd indoor rifle ranges ()
-35,000 sf indoor shotgun facility
-50 and 30-yd archery ranges, 20 yd virtual archery simulator
-gunsmith w/machine shop
-NFA weapons welcome
-members-only lounges, pistol ranges and other perks

The store was huge and well stocked. There were several NRA-certified range officers on each range in red shirts and they were knowlegable and friendly. I was impressed that i could not smell powder and didn't see smoke on any of the ranges i visited.....ventilation and lighting systems were top notch. I was in the indoor shotgun range by myself and it was so big with very high ceilings.

I know that we'll go back, and may even consider a small membership package. They said that i could host an ODT range invasion there too.........we might do that later this year

How could you POSSIBLY give them a good review when they don't allow 7.62x54R on the range???

You're slipping alleycat alleycat !

:p

No steel is kinda bummer, too.

Buddy of mine went by earlier in the week and had a positive impression as well. They are really going for the country club feel. I'm glad I'm a good distance away otherwise I could see that place being somewhat of a habit...

I would love to try the indoor skeet range!
At $12, it's twice the price of the Fulton Co. government-owned range off Camp Creek Parkway, but for me Kenny Saw is a lot closer. And, I just think it would be cool to shoot indoors. (In the summer, with the A/C running, it may be "cooler" literally as well).
