my best friend growing up died last August with Alzheimers. The last time I spoke with him, it was like his life history was a book with all the pages scrambled. He could remember specific things but not in order.

Yep, it's hard watching them decline. My Wife and I are at that age and we take care of our parents too. The friends we do see on occasion are the same way
