Grey wolf , Chupacabra or really big dog track

Just saw some big canine tracks at the farm this morning

Lots of things walked the roadways since it rained yesterday or Thursday whichever it was.

SD case in one track , aa battery in another for scale

Honestly that's about the size of my 100+ # GSDs tracks. Years ago in our old neighborhood, they left tracks like that on the nature trail and the neighborhood Karen called the DNR out! No kidding...

I have not seen any large dogs but they do ramble

Wolf tracks are much bigger than that. People down here in the south east that don’t deal with them regularly severely underestimate how big they actually are. Here’s a picture of of a buddy of mine with one he shot in Montana last winter. Even big coyotes don't get nearly as big as a small Timber Wolf.

Wolf is in the 5” x4” (track)

Compared to domestics, coyotes tend to have space between the pads and overall track is more oval (vs roundish). I say big dog.

My Scout's paw was about that size. He was 105 pound Golden Retriever. No fat, just big.
