Gripmasters?

Nws gave me the idea, who here uses a gripmaster in conjunction with dryfiring? Basically by building up the muscles, it builds a stronger grip, and felt recoil is much less.
 
Good idea. Take it to work and nobody will understand. Used to have a stick on a rope with a steel plate on the end. Just roll it up and down, and throw in a few curls. May have to make another.

Man I miss that stick, rope, plate! I'm going to resurrect one. I do forearm exercise that are specific for my shooting and generally stay in shape. I'm 5'10" and 160lbs so recoil affects me a bit more than the average bear! I do notice the difference shooting when my forearms haven't been exercised in a while.
 
At the academy we give our recruits a tennis ball week one or two and thats how they stay occupied during class. The tennis ball helps them with their grip. The grip is not just important in the firearms realm either. It makes a work of difference during our defensive tactics ( handcuffing, control holds etc) training. Stress putty also works the same. Anything you can use to strengthen your grip, wrists, and forearms will be a win for you on the range.
