My initial thought was something smaller overall, in a stainless like CPM s30v or CPM 154cm, and simple design on the handle. These would come with kydex and while my first thought was to setup for neck carry, it wouldn't be difficult to add a belt loop. My goal is something simple, with a good steel, that is low-maintenance.

Justin, I've been working on something similar that will turn out to be a quality low maintenance basic tool but at a price point most can afford. Right now I have 3 test blades, no handle scales and cerakoted. I used AEB-L for these. So far I'm very impressed with the steel. The end user can cord wrap or leave them slick. So far I've had good feedback and interest (more than I can make as a barely part time guy). I encourage you to explore it, you will sell them.
