You guys clearly are missing the big picture. I mean McConnell got a $3 Billion Earmark for Kentucky Project out of the deal, and Congress Unconstitutionally gave up some of their power on the debt ceiling. It was a great time for deals to be had by everyone! sarcasm now off.

For you guys who keep advocating voting for the lesser of two evils like Romney - this is what you get. You reap what you sow.

The only thing a conservative could say was better about Romney was the (R) after his name. Romney had his own version of the Affordable Healthcare Act...identical to Obama's, and Romney drafted and IMPLEMENTED his own assault weapons ban in MA.

So what are you basing this affinity for Romney the chameleon on?

There was nothing to negotiate. The bills had gone through the legislature and passed into law. All of the legal boxes had been ticked. I don't agree with some of them either, but you don't just throw the legislative model out the window because you don't like the result.

Technically the Legislative model has the House controlling the spending, or AUTHORIZING the spending, it's a check and balance...only there was no balance, the media backed the folks trying to circumvent the legislative model.

The REASON the house holds the purse strings, is because they have a wider constituency.
