Hey y’all.

I purchased a Honey Badger SBR from a local FFL and currently it’s in ATF jail for another 5-10 months. So my question is, if this gun ban goes through the senate, will it be confiscated?

I don't believe they can legally pass a law to confiscate anything. There is a clause or two in the constitution which prohibits Ex Post Facto laws. In other words they cannot pass a law that makes something you did (or own) illegal if it was legal when you purchased it. Even if they can pass a so-called "assault weapons ban" (Which I doubt they can) I am pretty sure that anything you already own would be grandfathered in just like the last time. They would like to do a lot of things that they cannot do. Thankfully we have a constitution that prohibits much of the nonsense you keep hearing about.

I think all those anti-gun politicians have their beaks in getting "donations" from lobbyist on both sides of the ban. This is great way for all those traitors in Washington to make bank as long as they can keep the threat alive

Thanks! Yeah I was just worried because it’s still in possession of the FFL and didn’t know if I was safe due to me paying for it in full, even though it’s not in my possession.

That is a good question. While you do actually own it, it is not in your possession so not sure how that would work. I still have doubts that they could pass a ban anyway. They might possibly get UBC passed but I personally think that would be as far as it goes and I have my doubts about that as well.

They will confiscate it, but will give you a $100 Walmart gift card for it. All will be good.

After the last year, And 2 elections, I dont know what to believe that they wont or will try. What about folks that have a major part of their 401k tied up in a collection of firearms? Would that not fall into the realm if discriminatory if they make laws to where the owner of said guns, or the children of said deceased owner, could not sell grandfathered firearms? Asking for a friend.
