I don't believe they can legally pass a law to confiscate anything. There is a clause or two in the constitution which prohibits Ex Post Facto laws. In other words they cannot pass a law that makes something you did (or own) illegal if it was legal when you purchased it. Even if they can pass a so-called "assault weapons ban" (Which I doubt they can) I am pretty sure that anything you already own would be grandfathered in just like the last time. They would like to do a lot of things that they cannot do. Thankfully we have a constitution that prohibits much of the nonsense you keep hearing about.
That is a good question. While you do actually own it, it is not in your possession so not sure how that would work. I still have doubts that they could pass a ban anyway. They might possibly get UBC passed but I personally think that would be as far as it goes and I have my doubts about that as well. Thanks! Yeah I was just worried because it’s still in possession of the FFL and didn’t know if I was safe due to me paying for it in full, even though it’s not in my possession.

That'd be a better deal than the bumpkin stock owners got. They will confiscate it, but will give you a $100 Walmart gift card for it. All will be good.
