Gun law question

I know some folks with very common names who get delayed every time. Giving SSN helps with that.

Having a gwl is the way to go. And I am not worried about the government as much as I am leaving my ssn on a piece of paper at a store. ID theft sucks and won't go through it again. Plus people with common names that have consistent problems with delay can get a special pin number from the atf if they are to stupid to go get the gwl or don't live in an awesome state like GA.

Common name or not I'd rather risk delay than to provide: Full Name, Address, DOB, Place of Birth, DL# and SSN to somebody who has or may have multiple folks handling the information, not mention lax storage of the Forms. Most FFL holders are not aware of the Privacy Act & Storage requirements for items containing a SSN or they would NOT let you put it on the form. Big liability if information is misused and it can be traced back to them.

Yup!!

You can not have anyone pick up the rifle for you, that would be considered a straw purchase and you'd both commit a felony. And they might not release the rifle to you, it depends on the store policy of delayed background checks. Just be patient and wait until Saturday. It won't go anywhere, just ask them not to sell it. Hope you enjoy your first rifle man.
Is it s straw purchase if there is no sell?
