i am a gun owner and i have always been a supporter of ppl having the right to legally own and carry there guns but now im wondering what if it was possible for the government to change the law tomorrow and made all guns/weapons be turned over and no longer in existence, then wouldnt killings decrease? im not saying this is what i want havent considered it long enough its just a thought that crossed my mind...... but then again i guess ppl would find other ways to kill each other.

How about if a 6'00" 200 pound coked-up rapist is intent on raping your wife or daughter. How will she or you prevent it? How about if he has a baseball bat or a knife?

If guns "magically" went away we would be discussing our right to keep and bear blades and bows, if they went away it would be clubs and rocks......the would would be not better off unless the violent nature of man were to "magically" disappear.....

nope. Look at the UK. More people get stabbed there now then ever before. You can take away everything... then people will still kill anyway. The only way you can stop murder is to end the human race.

everyone is right thats y i said we would just find someother way to kill each other, something has to give tho, violence is on a rise, crimes used to make sense someone tries to rob or kill you so u shoot them and if they died it was justified now killings are related to nonsense and its so easy to get a gun i was just wrecking my brain on how to start making a difference, but in no way shape or form would i want my right to own a gun taken away just thinking out loud

many of us in the united states are overweight also. Should we blame mickey Ds or just let people take responsibility for their actions? Sure crime is on the rise but what can we REALLY do about it? Nothing. Thats why I carry a gun, I mind my own and I dont worry about it. I live my life. I enjoy each moment because no matter how much you prepare or even try to make a change... your life can end in a split second. I dont really put much thought or concern into it.

Crime isn't tremendously on the rise, but the media throwing it in your face constantly, is at an all time high.

Do you think the Romans had the same thought? What if we got rid of all the swords and spears....

Could get rid off all the guns and weapons in the world but until people change things will remain the same!
