I want to get my tax stamp for a suppressor & sbr and I want to go the route of getting a gun trust.
  1. What are the advantages / disadvantages with going with a cheap ($99) or expensive ($250-500) gun trust?
  2. Do you have suggestions on who to go with?
Sorry if these same questions have been answered before. I tried looking and didn’t find what I was looking for.

Thanks!

If you're going to pay I'd go with Heavy D or Nate or the other lawyer on here who I'm always forgetting. Other than that do it yourself. I did only thing is I don't have any support but I saved a couple hundred bucks and I have 3 suppressors, 1 SBR and 2 SBR pending so far

I understand that you pay for a certain service when you retain a lawyer to set up your trust and I understand wanting the security of that "just in case", so I say if it gives you peace of mind then more power to you. I don't blame anyone for not cutting corners with the NFA and the ATF.

That said, I got my trust from 199trust.com back when they were $99 and it has worked just fine so far. I think they're $79 now. If you're on a budget, do it and don't look back.

I went with NFA Lawyers right here in Marietta. They came highly recommended by Dobbs Defense, and I have had a great experience. I ordered my silencer back in February of this year, and since then I have had to add an addendum to my trust. They are prompt, responsive, and reasonable.

You can use Will/Trust maker follow instructions and do it yourself, however, listen to the guys on here a large amount of them have used heavy, satisfied customers you can't be customer satisfaction, so go the $99.00 route....

just our view point...

Another vote for heavyd or https://nfalawyers.com/ as he is known in the real world. He will answer any questions you have and your trust will be done the next day. I have not had any issues with his work and the ATF on getting approved. About the hardest thing with heavyd creating your trust is deciding on who you want to be listed.
