Guns in Alaska

Hi have any of you traveled to Alaska with a pistol? I've never been but plan to go next summer. I know a lot of hikers and hunters carry in the backwoods but is Alaska as gun friendly as Georgia where you are allowed guns almost anywhere such as bars, restaurants, etc? Not trying to be political but I'm using Guns Everywhere for lack of a better term. I know guns are allowed in more places here than in NC.
So can you take a pistol on boat rides, plane rides, stores, and bars? I want to do some hiking and not sure if I should take a pistol or keep it at home. I know I also need to read up on the state laws if I decide to bring one.

Alaska doesn’t have a carry permit. Unless you are a convicted felon or trying to get on a plane. You are good. If you are a convicted felon. If you are carrying deep in the off grid. The only way you’ll get popped is for utter stupidity

Even though Alaska does not required a CCW permit to carry consealed there are rules you need to follow.

Basically don't be an ass
Don't drink with your firearm on you
If you are backpacking/hiking it is more coforable to carry OWB, ##$% tukin a 10mm down my pants.
