Guns Welcomed at Peachtree Road Race!!

As part of the Atlanta Police Department’s overall security plan for the Peachtree Road Race, APD plans to secure the finish line. People entering Piedmont Park will be screened for bombs or explosive devices, but no persons in possession of weapons and/or long guns will be denied entry.

As one fellow told us, if you want to run the entire race with an AK-47 at port arms tomorrow, have at it. You’re good.

ok....running the race while carrying a rifle for sure makes it more difficult and i can respect that!

I was being sarcastic. Having said that, if they are going to PUBLICLY declare that it's acceptable to the race organizers (as they apparently have)... I guess go for it if it flips your switch. Only time I read it is when people on the ODT post a link.
Hell, the ODT is one of the best ways to see the latest news links without having to read 100 different websites!
