Gunshow?

RK show on Jonesboro road @ 285 can't be beat. Cash is king and look for "walkers", the best deals can be made with them.

Folks walking around have been the source of many of my great deals this year. Sales are down, dealers aren't wanting to buy because they can't sell what they have, so it's either lowballs or "I don't want that".

I managed one good deal from a gun dealer this year. Everything else was from people walking around or non-FFL vendors.

Worth going to one if you know your stuff. Last month I went to one where a vendor was selling a table full of grab box stuff. $5 apiece.

Some of the items I sold on eBay for $20-30 apiece. Grips, OEM accessories, etc.

Good way to make your gas and admission money back, and have a little extra spending cash for guns. Cell phone and the eBay app go a long way.

Last week at the Gwinett Fairgrounds show, a fella had an AMT in 22 Mag, 6 inch stainless. Dealer offered him $150. I was hovering around to see if I could scoop it up after he told the dealer he already had been offered $200 by another dealer. So this dealer peeled off 2 C notes and bought it from him. My stomach went queezy. I told the seller after the fact that the dealer would be putting it back up for sale for at least $450 if not more, and that he had sold it way too low.

$200 isn't the worst dealer price in the world. He got ripped a little but sales are down right now and unless he was trading it in, there's not a lot of incentive to shell out cash for one. It's an odd gun that the average person isn't looking to buy. I took a loss on an odd gun in a trade with a dealer last month just to get something I know I can move if I decide to not keep it. Sometimes you gotta do that.

I like the AMT's and I probably would have paid $300 if it was in nice condition, but again, it's an oddball item to get rid of. That's the case with many "collector-type" guns that aren't Colt/S&W/etc

Can someone give me a address and times for this event. Is this like a swap meet.

The show is in the Expo center right on Jonesboro road @ 285. The 1st building inside the perimeter on the right. Sat. starts @ 9 and Sun. start @ 10. Swap meet and gun show (best in GA)!

I'm thinking about heading over to it after 3pm. Thinking I may Walk around and see if i can sell my M&P 9c, G23, and an Eotech XPS 2-2. I went last year and got a good trade towards a Winchester model 12. It seems to be one of the better shows around here.
