Lots of different rifles out there. I don't know anyone who works on every single one of them. Gonna need to be more specific then that.

I’ve been in the shop and there’s a lot of credentials pinned to the walls. I’d recommend meeting the owner and discussing the job.

He does have a crew but I don’t know if they have the same credentials for quality work as the owner.

Work isn’t cheap from what I recall years ago.

Maybe cmshoot can verify or has someone in mind that’s worth the drive.

I use them for transfers. But I have read their reviews on a couple different places about their machining/ smithing. And I’m not sure if they’re exactly what I’m looking for. I was recommended Hammer Rifles in lyons, GA over on SH. I reached out to see if I could just ship them my barrel. So I’ll see what they say and go from there.

That’s my old BN commander, LTC (maybe col?) Patrick Sleem. I sent about 5 rifles to him for work. They all turned out great. My brother sent his comp Glock to him for an optics cut. Again, no issues. I’m not sure what happened with his bad reviews. I think he had a journey man under him for a while, but the work LTC Sleem did was excellent. He’s an excellent person and leader.

For his shop, he’s had a rough go at life. Just a lot of personal tragedies. He’s raising 4 kids alone, he’s the OIC of the reserve marksmanship team, and he’s an officer in the reserves. Just a lot going on. Still did good work for me with like a 2 month turn around for 5 guns.

I see the owner of Hammer rifles at the Cool Acres PRS matches. Heard nothing bad about his work.

I used Nine Run Guns in South GA for two different barrel jobs.
