Had to put Sophie, my 7 year old German Shepherd, down today. Last couple days she had gotten kind of bloated and seemed like she was in discomfort. Vet revealed she had a mass rupture around her liver. It’s very heartbreaking to lose her. She was so much more than a pet. We will miss her dearly.

It's a crappy kind of hurt, but it's worth the love received.

Dammit man, I hate it that you and your family are going through this pain. Nothing can compare to the unconditional love of dog. I’m so sorry for your loss. They are called MANS BEST FRIEND because the love and protect us. They’re a part of our lives but we are all of their lives. There are many of us here that sympathize and morn for your loss. My condolences to you Al Capone .... i have had to do it a couple of times and it sux. It will turn a full grown man into a blubbering baby quick !
Pain will recede though, and you will find another friend to help , all while keeping your buddy in memory.
