I went to my local HD dealer, Falcons Fury in Conyers. They are some SHADY folks, to put it politely. I was asking the price on a couple of their used bikes, and wouldn't be given a straight answer. It was "mid teens" or "low 20's" instead of an actual price. Has anyone had another experience like this with HD? I assume they want to run my credit, and find out my financial situation before naming a price in case they can mark it up on me. I was planning to just pay cash, but I'm not just going to hand them my wallet. After the third bike I asked about, I was met with "we usually discuss pricing after we get in the finance office" I just turned around and left, didn't even say another word. The salesman literally followed me out the door trying to change his tune, but I was done. Are all HD dealerships this way? I feel better about buying from an individual with cash anyway, but I won't ever step back into that place again.

I've never been done that way. You did the right thing. I ain't letting no one run credit till the price has been negotiated. Besides, I'd pay cash most likely too at this point. It's a new world out there anymore. I haven't shopped for anything in a long time. Last bike I bought was 20yrs ago. I still have it. Last vehicle, the same thing. I've been driving vehicles so long, I've been given a couple.......I don't even think my Wife wants a new one anymore......She's been driving hers for 25yrs

They get a kickback from the financing.

The Stealers are struggling, especially HD. Boomers are ageing out and the whippersnappers can't afford a $30,000 rolling behemoth. Plus, as anything automotive dealer related, they have larceny in their hearts.
I agree for sure. I noticed at Daytona bike week this year, not nearly as many old head HD bikers. I think HD is on their way out ultimately, especially if their dealerships are like this.

I don't know where you live, but I actually had a very good experience at Rally Point Harley Davidson in Columbus when we bought my wife's new Heritage Classic. Upfront about everything, installed accessories gratis (heated grips, tour pack, etc.) and genuinely nice people. Gave us a decent deal to boot!

Never buy from the dealers, find someone that bought one, cause it was cool. Then buy his with all of his useless **** he bought
