On a related note, my '67 Triumph Bonneville leaked from every seam. I ran different color oils in the engine, transmission, and primary case, to ID where the latest leak was coming from.
But, they have no soul...
The British bikes of the '40's through '60's, the old Indians and Harleys of the same era, those were motorcycles.
Hard to beat a Vincent Black Shadow for charisma.
Oil leaks from $7 seals are normal. Lots of labor and worse if you pay for it. And for some reason Harley puts bikes on the road to test the parts. I experienced the crappy cam chain tensioners and on my 2014 the water pump burned up. But "we " have newer better parts to install to correct those faults. Not good for every rider.
He was parked in the wrong "territory", and it mysteriously "self-combusted".
