The other point still stands though. A lot of what you've offered for sale in the past was close to retail new prices, and with retailers offering deals, there are going to be situations where your asking price is higher than new price.
What you think is 'low balling' as a seller is going to result in "negotiating down to a reasonable price" for a lot of potential buyers.
