Me too. I just thought I would look around and find a decent female friend. Not even a relationship thing just a hang out with someone from my area. It seems that all women want is a relationship with a bank account attached to it. I even spelled that out in my profile but it seems they are missing the point. Some of these sites have to be complete bull ****e just because of the caliber of women that are replying. Not one is unattractive they are all smoking hot and are looking for far more than I am willing to dive into again and you are right. Everybody is really selfish. I think we all are to a certain point. One thing I am not ever going to do again is give up my freedom. I like being by myself a whole lot more than I like someone coming over all the darn time.

A dating website isn't a place to go to find someone to 'hang out' with.

If that's what you're looking for, you're DEFINITELY looking in the wrong place.

The reality - of course - is that women and men can never JUST be friends. There's always at least one of the two with a different motive.

Correct but the sites I am mostly on have friends option. That what I put in my profile and explained most aggressively. However, the born dogs will be horn dogs. Plus they don't even live near me and that was one of my requirements. I haven't responded to any of them but I do read their profile and their messages to me. Some are kind and nice but live nowhere near me. The others are outright forward and nasty. I will respond when someone close to me messages me.
