Have you ever asked yourself......................

Do I really need all these firearms? I use to think of certain scenarios where I might need something so I had to buy it.

Well they do make me feel superior and the lot lizards feel safe when they stop by for a quickie.

I gotta have 5 guns, minimum.

1.) A very small pistol for daily carry.

2.) A bigger pistol to carry in more risky places or situations.
This big pistol could also be a recreational target shooting centerfire pistol.)

3.) a .22rimfire pistol for fun shooting.
The barrel has to be 5 or 6 inches long.

4.) A centerfire rifle that is good for multiple purposes, including deer hunting, even if it's not ideal for anything. My Springfield M1A in .308 fills that role right now but a lot of people have AR's for this purpose. I could even use a lever action or pump action hunting rifle instead.

5.) A shotgun-- just about any shotgun will do. I want to "check the box" that says I own one. I want the option to go bird hunting or disintegrate some flying clay orange frisbees once in a while.

If I could literally only have one firearm
and let's assume that this means I couldn't have just one AR lower receiver and three different stocks/pistol braces and four or five different uppers for it....

My one gun would probably be a 6 inch barrel 357 magnum revolver,

and I would start handloading
little mousefart .38 spl range loads
for fun plinking and target shooting.

Carrying that heavy gun daily for protection would probably be a no go.

I might end up switching to a knife,
stun gun, or pepper spray for daily
"on body carry" when I'm in a nice neighborhood and not expecting trouble.

Make no mistake: being limited to one gun would suck.

Absolutely. Self awareness is a good thing. I don't "need" any of them. I like them, enjoy shooting them, and enjoy building them.

If I had all the money back I've spent on them to start over, I'd have a few transferable. Mp5k M16 Ak47.
Speaking of which, adventure outdoors has a transferable m60 in stock.

Dumb quote but a little truth can be found in it.
Need? No. But they don't take up a ridiculous amount of room and they'll never go down in value. I have some that I know I'll never shoot. Hopefully I thin the herd the day before I die. If not, pretty sure I won't care.
