Head Alpha caught on cam

It's a big yote or possibly a Coywolf, but very unlikely. They are mostly found in the North East, but are expanding their territory.

Killed a Coywolf a few years ago. Male Coyotes weigh up to about 35 lbs. The bugger I shot was over 50 pounds, looked like a husky till I saw the snout and teeth. Game warden explained about coy wolfs and shortly thereafter PBS did a special on them.

Saw a huge yote with a red mane & beard off of the Etowah river in Dawson county a year ago. After talking with several informed people the red wolf that was reintroduced in the NC/Tn mountains has made its way down here. They find a pack of yotes & kill the males to breed the females.
