You know the reason why TV's are getting so cheap, it's because they can get access to the type of content you watch and sell that data to make a profit without your knowledge.

I doubt the bastages are getting much from me, I have 2 home-built Gray-Hoverman antennas up the attic. I have 40 channels of about the same dogspit I got when I had cable ( which I only barely miss.....during football season).
But, I've noticed TVs are one of the few common, relatively inexpensive products that seem to last for years, which I suspect is because TVs are a prime outlet for establishment propaganda and brainwashing. They WANT everyone to have a TV.

I just bought a 75" Samsung. A couple days later I was reading an article about just that, and it tells you how to turn off that tracking. I would have never thought it until I got into the settings just to see what these new tv's are capable of. Here's the article if anyone's interested.

Also, check back regularly - and especially after a firmware update - because they can re-enable those telemetry settings.

Seems they corrected. $179 for the 50" and $189 for the 55". Great TVs as I have that 50" in their F30 version so this F50 would be a nice update. Might be time to update the TV in the garage (cough) master bedroom for the Mrs.

Yea that price was for yesterday only. Still a good price tho.

Seems the the best deals are on larger TVs. My trusty Samsung 32" has started getting a little glitchy, and new 32" TVs aren't as common. The only sale prices I've seen are on stuff like Hisense and Best Buy's house brand, which don't have the most encouraging reviews.

In my experience Hisense is a dang good TV. I Bought a 32" 1080p Hisense on black friday for $80 for my son's room for his 3rd Christmas. Its been used daily since, and He's now 14 and that tv still works like new with great picture and sound. Which has surprised me because the last few years its seen day after day of playing at full volume while my son does his best rock star impersonation with his guitar 😂. Id buy Hisense again any day.

Amazon Prime day coming up. Probably some deals there. It won't be long until we hit Thanksgiving and the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. I gave up cable this past spring and went to streaming. I'll be getting a Roku tv if I get anything. It will be interesting to see prices this holiday season to see how the tariffs have impacted the price.
