The Speer Hot Cor in 165 grain is very effective on deer
Bring it back around to the OPs question. If I had to rank order them from my experience with the rifles mentioned I would do the following:
1. Bergara
2. Tikka (could be #1 honestly I just like rem 700 footprint)
3. Rem 700 with some work
4. Ruger American
5. Weatherby
6. Howa
Honestly all are pretty excellent choices in .308 and will shoot well and get the job done.

I got a bunch of different ones. I never had a dead deer complain about which gun I used. Like my kids, I love them all.

In case anyone’s curious, here’s what I’m looking to replace…
1995 made A-Bolt II Stainless Stalker. Shot less than a box of ammo per year.
I’m not a stellar shooter, but on a couple occasions at the range to check zero, I’ve gotten sub-moa 3-4 shot groups @ 100yds, sitting at a bench just using basic Winchester SP 130gr hunting ammo.
Gonna be a sad day when I let this go. (BOLO soon…)
