Hi Guys, I am really in trouble this morning and I need to speak with a divorce Lawyer. Does anybody know one that I can call and ask a few questions this morning. what happened was the wife moved out 2 weeks ago. I got off of work yesterday, got a hair cut, washed my truck, and when I get home I pulled around the corner and the sheriff was sitting in my driveway? he got out and asked to see my ID, then handed me divorce papers that said I have to be in court this Monday morning, 10:00 a.m. I know I need a lawyer, but how can I get one on a Saturday? Postpone the court date. Four day notice is highly irregular.
Just go to Court! Tell the Judge you would like legal representation. That is your right, in Civil or Criminal case.
What county are u in? I would email attorneys..leave voicemails..and call first thing in the am Monday..im not attorney but i imagine you could tell the judge you need time to get representation.
