This is the writing and I’ll post a pic of my drawn versions of the stamps I located under the barrel. This gun just had more designs and such that I couldn’t find myself. Appreciate any of you guys help. This one has been in a closest for a couple of decades I know. Thanks.

A guy who is a regular poster with thousands of posts on a website called "shotgun world" wrote this:

"Guns with the name UNION MACHINE CO were made by Henri Pieper.

Guns with the name UNION MACHINE CO. NEW YORK were made by Simonis, Janssen & Dumoulin and were imported by Schoverling,Daily & Gates circa 1892
."

It appears that both versions of union machine company were simply trade names-- fictional names that were made up for marketing purposes so these guns would appeal more to English speaking shooters in the U.K. or the USA.

A big detailed article about old shotguns being sold under various trade names ----sometimes with a trade name being made up specifically for one wholesaler or distributor of these guns ---

says that

"Royal Gun Works" shotguns are another trade name, being made by Pieper specifically for one wholesale customer: Simmons Hardware.

This is an article about Simmons hardware, although it doesn't talk much about guns.
