Help installing thermostat with c wire please

Yes, they even have youtube vids on the installation. Mine just won't power on. I have another unit which will not power on also so I know the unit is not likely bad (both are new also), they just don't seem to be getting power.

I don't know what the two wire inside the wall went to but they are not part of the thermostat. Hook the blue wire to common on the t-stat and inside the furnace.

Depending on the configuration, you should jump out RC and RH.

Put it on the C post at the thermostat without removing the white wire that is already on there?

Do I need to jump RC and RH if they were not jumped before? Trane XE78 furnace.

You need to pay dave to come over and ease your mind. It wont be much but it will be worth it.

They were jumped on the old one. Some modern t-stats don't need a jumper.

I would jump the RH and RC. May not need it, but it won't hurt. If you need it and you don't, it won't cool unless you jump it.
