Help me identify these 2 small electronic boxes

Pop the case off and take close up pics of the circuit board from both sides.

You will get 50 or so regular ODT comments which makes this place what it is and keeps it awesome and then you will get the right answer eventually. Where did this come from? Maybe a little more info so the ODT super sleuth's can go to work on finding out what it is. Was it hidden under the car or in a inside a piece of furniture or in just some random box full of old electronics in the house?

I'll post some better pics, but there's really nothing to see other than the circuit board and connection hole. It's just a black box, and they were in a box of assorted gun magazines, no cool back story or anything

It looks like there's a sim pad, so likely transmits something. I'll bet there's some ID info, (part no etc), printed on the pcb, worth a google.

Knowing where they were obtained them might help. Car? Airplane? Bank money pouch?
