De-leading is what the guys at my range suggested. Is that difficult?

Used to be done with mercury. Worked great. Now, not sure what folks use.

Perhaps electrolysis?

I think you may have worn it out. All the tolerances are possibly enlarged.

I would send it in to S&W.

Ten cases of .22 is still about $2,000 at the lowest price I've seen. I'd look at buying another rifle.

I use a lead dissolver that brushes in clear and changes color when dry. Keeps my sideloaders nice and slick.
