this is where she wanted to go, so i sprung for it....overall scheme of things, not alot of money for us, but more concerned about her having a good time for her 50th bday....read a lot of bad reviews on it on trip advisor..some good, but a lot of bad, but what gets me is that she has been there before, and she wants to go back..i hear the cove is better...may upgrade to that if i can before thursday....tried to talk her into at least a Sandles, all inclusive...but, noooo...so, we are going down to the dollywood of vacations....i will put my happy face on and go with the flow....any tips?? do i blow my brains out before, or after???i cant believe she picked this, as i hear quality has really gone down, and i am gonnna suffer the brunt...we leave thursday...come back wednesday...i have some ideas for dinner for off the resort....would really like to hear from the ladies for ideas....what she wants is the lazy river....she works a high pressure job, and i mean stressfull...we make plenty of money...so that is not a problem...what i am afraid of, is that you cannot relieve the past...so, i am thinking is that we take ANOTHER vacation to aruba after she has been back to work for a week.....ohh, my god, i am pulling my hair out, and i dont have any left to pull out....

help! taking my wife to atlantis, royal towers, have you been there?

poor baby. you make so much money you have to invent problems before you even GET there? Vacation for me is usually a 3 day trip to PCB or Savannah. If you can afford Atlantis and still not have a good time, quit your job, go get one at a convenience store and in a year or so see if your perspective has changed. Meantime...quityer*****in. 
P.S. Have fun. That's an order. And bring back pics for those of us who will never get closer than a 50" screen tv when the commercial comes on.

There is plenty to enjoy in the Bahamas....you don't have to stay at the resort proper all the time. Whenever we go we only use the hotel/resort as a meeting place and for sleeping. For that alone Atlantis is one of the best in the area so suck it up and go have a good time in the Caribbean.
You need to have PLENTY of money to go there to Atlantis. I've been on the company dole a couple of times. Very nice place but I think you could go a million other nicer places for the money. But then again, I do realize the importance of keeping the Mrs happy!
Atlantis is meh. It's nice, but it's just like Miami or anywhere else in Florida. Nassau is where the real **** goes down in the Bahamas :tup:
I prefer Barbados....Nassau is pretty heavily used and can be crowded.
Been 3 times just got back last month,If you cant have fun there then just stay home,Senor Frogs is a must but you have to take a taxi take the water taxi 10.00 each and while your at Senor Frogs take her to the straw market next door
