Help with a sentimental choice

Got a question for my ODTers. I was given my grandfathers colt huntsman a few years back and it is one of my most valued items I own. I have a choice between getting his side by side double barrel Remington model 1900 12 gauge, which is EXTREMELY old but in great condition, or his Savage model 29a .22 pump action. What would you choose? The shotgun would need inspection to see if it is safe to fire. Pictures seen below.

I would take the Savage. Much more fun to shoot.

Meant to add that to the post. I don’t have memories of shooting either one or of him using either one while he was alive

If you would have greater use for or opportunity to use one or the other, I’d go with that. if they were my grandpa’s I’d be especially proud. Dad gave me his Colt Huntsman in 2020 a few months before he died. Like yours it is precious to me.

Who makes the SxS? I’d choose the .22 as I’d shoot it more. The SxS would probably get cleaned and put away.

I've shot that Savage and it's a fun plinker. I'd pick it without a second thought.
