I stepped on a 15g interior finishing nail today from a baseboard. Guessing about an inch of it went inside my foot. Gave it a wash with peroxide but Im not sure how clean it got it. Since this aint a rusty nail, do I need to worry about tetanus? Ive had a shot but I dont know if it was within the last 10 years. Should I be worried?

Prolly wouldn't hurt to go get one. It be a sumbitch if a finishing nail did you in.

A deep puncture wound is very serious cuz you can git flesh eatin anerobic bacteria down in thar.

A fellow in Texas lost his foot the other day from that flesh eatin bacteria gettin in through an ingrown toenail.

Can you get the flesh eating bacteria from a dry interior nail though? I know theres no way of knowing but just saying.

Get the tetanus shot immediately, possibly antibiotics also or possible amputation, from Ex Paramedic and his Nurse wife!!!!

If stepping on nails is a work hazard for you it wouldn't hurt to get one. Remember that girl a couple of years ago that got that flesh eating bacteria from riding a zip line. Supposedly that stuff is everywhere
