I have this one only and can't seem to part with her. Has eaten everything I fed her and still hasn't had a shower (cleaning) since I got her. She likes ridin in the Dodge so I just leave her be....lol. She is jealous of my .38 snubby I keep close...haha.Hi Points Forever! Can't wait for the new updated threaded model.
You know you gotta post pics of this project, right? Anyway you can score a good deal on grips mags and pretty much any spare parts on eBay. I got a used factory mag for a C9 on eBay for under $10.00. The orange and black snakeskin pattern grips you mentioned are okay. Better looking than the carbon fiber grips. A guy on my Hi Point forum gave me a set of digital camo grips that looked pretty good. But last week I traded them for a set of the blonde fake wood grain grips. Those were the ones I had been wanting.I recently bought a CF380 at a pawn shop, couldn't resist.
Heard the pros & cons, figured had to see for myself.
This one looks like very little use if any at all, not even
any residue inside and by their own admission no one
cleans their hi-point. After seeing DemolitionRanch put
his JHP40 thru the ringer I just just just had to. I used
Mother's non abrasive polish on the slide's bedliner finish.
Smoothed it out some and added a little sheen. I like the
chunky slide, makes it easy to rack pushing 1/2" nose above
muzzle against table edge or door frame. Painted grips flat
brown which isn't as slippery as gloss black plastic. While rh
grip is off magazine disconnect bar lifts right out. Might buy
a set of grips from H-P for Christmas if I still have it. Lots of
choices $15-18 pr. I'm leaning towards carbon fiber or orange
& black snakeskin. Might as well get an extra mag there goes
another $16.50.
